President Trump, First Lady Melania, VP Pence, and Karen Pence all flew to Charlotte, North Carolina today, to attend the funeral for Reverend Billy Graham
Graham passed away last week after a fruitful 99 years on this earth. Thousands turned up at his funeral in the U.S. Capitol earlier this week to pay their respects.
Today, another service was held in Graham’s hometown of Charlotte, where over 2,000 people were expected to attend.
Those in attendance included Christian leaders and dignitaries from over 50 countries and include both President Trump and Vice President Pence.
After Graham’s oldest daughter gave a touching eulogy at Friday’s funeral, Graham’s youngest daughter, Ruth Graham, got up on stage and looked out at President Trump to share a beautiful testimony.
“I have learned this week, as never before, that everybody has a Billy Graham story. And even this week, President Trump told us about his Billy Graham story. As a little boy, his father took him to Yankee Stadium to hear my father preach. And he said, ‘This is a big deal!’ Little did they know that their paths would cross many many years later.”
She continues on to re-tell the moving story of how her father helped her get through a number of challenging times in her life and showed her the compassion of God.
While Reverend Graham might have passed away, his legacy will live on in the millions of lives he touched through his holy messages.
Let’s SHARE this all over and show the world that Billy Graham will live on in the hearts of many!
