President Trump and First Lady Melania departed the White House Monday morning for a brief visit to Cincinnati, Ohio where they toured a local manufacturing company and Melania visited the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
President Trump was set to tour and speak at the Sheffer Corporation, which specializes in hydraulic components and custom cylinders in Blue Ash, Ohio.
While Trump was touring the factory, First Lady Melania and White House counselor Kellyanne Conway met with children at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
The pair were briefed on local neonatal opioid crisis issues, in an effort to bring these issues more media attention. They then met with children who are being treated at the medical center.
Many of the children were very eager to greet Melania and show her something they had made for her. One young girl had painted a picture of the American flag for Melania out of water-color paints.
Other children wanted to show her what games they were playing and to have her play with them. Melania handed out Valentine’s Day cards to the children as she made her way through.
Right as she was about to leave, a very young girl motioned that she wanted to be held and hugged by Melania. This warmed Melania’s heart to the core and she couldn’t wait to hold the little girl and pose for a photo.
