Former President Barack Obama’s administration found that at least seven states’ election systems were compromised prior to the 2016 presidential election.
An intelligence assessment report found that election systems were compromised between July 2016 to January 2017.
The report found that systems in Alaska, Arizona, California, Illinois, Texas, Florida, and Wisconsin were breached, but nothing was altered.
The assessment found that no voters were taken off the rolls and that it did not have any effect on total vote tallies in the 2016 presidential election.
The systems were scanned, not hacked — but NBC was caught spreading fake news to bolster their case about alleged Russia meddling in the election.
NBC claimed there was a “paper trail” proving that seven states’ election systems were hacked by the Russians, which is a complete lie.
DHS fired back NBC for publishing their grossly incompetent report, adding that the systems were not altered in any capacity.
NBC’s reporting tonight on the 2016 elections is not accurate and is actively undermining efforts of the Department of Homeland Security to work in close partnership with state and local governments to protect the nation’s election systems from foreign actors,” said Tyler Q. Houlton, DHS Acting Press Secretary.
He added: “We have no intelligence – new or old – that corroborates NBC’s reporting that state systems in seven states were compromised by Russian government actors. We believe tonight’s story to be factually inaccurate and misleading.”
Not only have six of these states denied any evidence of election hacking, they have indicated there is absolutely zero proof that Russians — or any other nation — hacked their systems during the 2016 election.
NBC being exposed for publishing lies to bolster their collusion theories is exactly why the American people no longer trust the mainstream media.
