Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has announced that she will not be attending President Trump’s State of the Union address this Tuesday.
Ginsburg says that it is not because of her disagreement with President Trump, but rather that she has a speaking engagement at Roger Williams University in Rhode Island, that she has had scheduled since last August.
However, Ginsburg’s critics note that this is likely a political snub toward President Trump, whom she has publicly denounced on several occasions.
Former Governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee had a different idea for why Ginsburg wouldn’t be at the State of the Union.
“It’s not fair that ppl are criticizing Justice Ginsberg for skipping SOTU! Security concerns wouldn’t allow her to bring CPAP machine into House Chamber.”
